Custom Made Nightguards

Bruxism is a condition that involves an involuntary clenching of the jaw or grinding of the teeth which can happen any time but usually occurs during sleep. Some people only do it throughout the night when they are sleeping while others will do it day and night. Many people do not even realize they have bruxism until someone like their spouse tells them because they notice them grinding their teeth in their sleep. Bruxism can result in chipped, worn and cracked teeth as well as jaw pain and/or headaches. A person may notice they have this problem overnight while they are sleeping when they wake up in the morning and have a sore jaw or they could even be clenching their teeth without noticing during the day. The condition is not considered as being extremely dangerous but it can cause pain and discomfort as well as needed extensive dental treatment. We offer two choices of non-invasive options to protect the teeth and/or TMJ for those who have bruxism.

Sleep apnea oral device (snore guard)

A sleep study and physician prescription is required for the fabrication of an oral device used to help with mild to moderate sleep apnea. Often, snoring is a symptom associated with sleep apnea and usually leads to the recommendation of a sleep study.  For those who cannot use a CPAP device, we can fabricate an oral device that is worn during the night to increase airflow during sleep.
